Ningxia Guanghua-Cherishmet Activated Carbon Co., Ltd. is a sino-foreign joint venture enterprise of activated carbon manufacturing, which is established by Ningxia Guanghua Activated Carbon Co., Ltd., American Cherishmet INC. and Shanxi Xinghua Chemical Co., Ltd.. Its annual production capacity and further processing capability are 6,000 tons and 2,500 tons respectively. The headquarters is located in Yinchuan City, the capital of Ningxia; and its production base lies in Taisha Industrial Zone, Pingluo County, Ningxia. The plant owes convenient transportation and distinctive scenery for facing Sand Lake – the famous Chinese scenic spot in the east, bordering Rujigou Diggings – [ King of Coal " ( Taixi coal producing area ) in the west and neighboring Jingzang expressway and Baolan railway in the north. In accordance with high standard and normalization, the company completed two carbonized material product lines and three activated carbon product lines with modernization. The elementary implementation of mechanization and automation in productive process laid the foundation for high-quality & high-tech production. In view of modern enterprise system, it has built a scientific and advanced management system. In the light of ISO9001, it carries out the management upon overall production process based on standard and procedure of quality system (2008), which guarantee product development & manufacture and quality test & control effectively. And it is one of the most advanced activated carbon manufacturing enterprise. The company uses high-quality Taixi coal in Ningxia as feedstock for producing extruded, granular, powdered activated carbon in various specifications; meanwhile, it produces extruded , granular activated carbon in kinds of standard by using coconut shell, fruit nut shell and timber; in addition, it can also make, develop and produce some products with special functions in line with users` requirement. All the products can be divided into 9 series for about 240 varieties. And the feathers are as follows: developed pores, large specific surface area, intensive mechanical strength, low ash content, better adsorption capacity, good desorption and long service life. It is widely used in the fields like gas purification & isolation, flue gas desulfurization, drinking water treatment, sewage disposal, drug decoloration, food refinement, solvent recovery, poison gas protection and catalyst support.
